Resources for Wikis by
Rob Ceglie & Sherah CarrWhat is a Wiki? (pronounced /wɪki/ WIK-ee) Most people have heard of Wikipedia (we hope) and have possibly used it in a similar way that we once used encyclopedias. A wiki can be thought of as a new age version of an encyclopedia, except: it is online, it can be edited by users, and contains links to (or embeds) multimedia. Some call wikis “knowledge repositories.” We would like to think of them as communities of practice where knowledge is shared. Creating a Wiki (Most are free!)
