Performance Task- GRASPS:
Goal- You will be given a certain
amount of money to go shopping in “Mall Madness”. Of that money, you will have to purchase a
certain amount of goods and a certain amount of services and report back with a
receipt of what you purchased.
Role- You will be a
consumer. You will be shopping at a mall
with the money you have been given.
Audience- You will be presenting your
receipt to your banker who will see how well you managed your money given what
you were told. They will decide if you
paid correctly and if you purchased the correct amount of goods and services.
Situation- You need a few things from
the mall but you only have a certain amount of money. You need to purchase things that are both
goods and services. Because you are
worried about your money, you hire a banker to help you decide how you should
spend your money. Your job is to go out
into the mall and correctly purchase things and keep an accurate
receipt of your purchases to bring back to your banker.
Product/Performance-
You will create a receipt. At each
store you will receive a picture of what you bought with the price at the
bottom. You must glue that picture to
the right side of your receipt under “purchase”. Then, using your paper money, glue down the
exact coins or bills you used to make that purchase on the left side under
“money”. You much spend the correct
amount on both goods and services. When
you have finished, bring the receipt to your financial advisor to see how well
you did. Good luck!
