Choosing Wisely Makes Cents!
Performance Task- GRASPS
Goal- You will find out where your money is needed most when you have to plan an event for someone. You will identify the opportunity costs that exist because of the choices you will be making.
Role- You and your partner will be party planners. You have been asked to plan a birthday party for one of your peers.
Audience- Your client will be one of your peers and his/her family.
Situation- The challenge involves dealing with only a certain amount of money. Your friend’s family will be giving you a budget of only $50. You and your partner have to spend the entire $50 on the following categories:
· Food
· Decorations
· Favors
· Entertainment
You and your partner must make some wise decisions on where the majority of the money should go versus the least amount of money.
Produce/Performance- You will create a table in order to show where your money has been spent in each of the above categories.
