Goal - You will make a scrapbook of community helpers. You will find out the jobs of different community helpers in your neighborhood and the uniforms they wear.

Role - You will be teachers. You will listen to presenters and later create and share a scrapbook about the community workers to Pre-k and principal.

Audience - You will present the completed scrapbook to the Pre-k students of Chapel Hill Elementary and Mr. Williamson our principal..

Situation- March 26^th will be “Career Day”, we will have many visitors. You will listen to community helpers on this day. Your teacher will take pictures of each one with their permission. You will write a word or sentence to describe the job the community helper does. You will also write about which uniform they wear. There will be four small groups to handle each area:

Group I will write about doctors, nurses or healthcare workers.

Group II will write about pilots, bus drivers or public service workers.

Group III will write about newspaper reporters or communication workers.

Group IV will write about police officers, fire fighters or public safety workers.

Product/Performance-You will create a scrap book with pictures of each person. You will write one thing about the person and the uniform they wear. You will share what you learned with the Pre-k students as well as our principal.
