ROLE – You will be a member of the Cyberchase detective team and look for clues to find the missing hundreds chart puzzle.

AUDIENCE – You will report to Sr. Cyberchase team members, Inez, Jackie and Matt, to solve this mystery.

SITUATION – It is believed that Cyberchase villain, The Hacker, has taken and mixed up all of the hundreds chart puzzles.  His plan is to rule Cyberspace with all of the numbers, but keep them out of order.  He believes that numbers and counting 1-100 are not important.

PRODUCT/PROFORMANCE – You and a partner will find the numbers for the hundreds chart puzzles that The Hacker has stolen.  With your partner will you complete the hundreds chart puzzle and show The Hacker that numbers are important for counting.  You and your partner will put the puzzle together and practice counting by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s.  You will defeat The Hacker!

STANDARD/CRITERICA FOR SUCCESS – See rubric.  Note:  The students will be familiar with Cyberchase, which is a math series on PBS.  They will watch specific episodes relating to our unit and do interactive math activities on the Cyberchase website (http://pbskids.org/cyberchase/) prior to this culmination project.
