Performance Task – GRASPS
Goal – You will discover that
consumers and producers play a role in the community.
Role – You are a director of a new
play and you are writing a play about your community. In your community there
are producers and consumers. You will write the roles for the producers and the
roles for the consumers.
Audience – You will be performing your
skits to a group of first graders who do not understand the roles of producers
and consumers.
Situation – Spike Lee is looking for
someone to help him write a new play about producers and consumers in the
community. You will write a skit showing a producer doing their job and in the
skit the consumer will do their job. All
the skits will be performed and judged by the first grade teachers and the skit
that explains the roles the best will be performed at the P.T.A. meeting.
Product/Performance
– You will
work in a group and decide what product you want the producer to make. You need
to write where your product is produce (farm, factory, etc.). I also want you
to write how your product is produced. You need to then write where they can
buy your product. In your skit, show someone purchasing your product.
