Performance Task – GRASPS
Goal – You will teach our Principal, Ms. Rodriguez, the days of the week and the months of the year using the calendar.
Role – You will be an announcer for the school-wide morning announcements. You will go over the calendar, correctly identifying the day’s date by day, month, date, and year.
Audience – You will be teaching Ms. Rodriguez, our school principal, during the morning announcements which will be seen by the whole school.
Situation – Ms. Rodriguez, the principal, does the morning announcements on television each morning for the whole school. Lately, Ms. Rodriguez can’t seem to get the date right. She’s having trouble getting the days in order and she forgot what month it is! Your job is to teach Ms. Rodriguez the days of the week and the months of the year using the calendar during the morning announcements.
Product/Performance – You will practice calendar activities each day. You will record a video to be played during the morning announcements. Your video will teach Ms. Rodriguez the days of the week and months of the year, using the calendar.
