Performance Task – GRASPS

Goal – You will find out to use coins.  You will find out if you can use coins in a       

store when  buying items.

 

Role – You will become a customer in a store.  You will buy items using the coins you have in exchange for something in the store.  

 

Audience – You will be exchanging your coins to the clerk (Ms. Jones) in the store.  The clerk will observe if you are using the coins right.

 

Situation – Ms. Jones, the clerk in the store, is trying to exchange some items in her

store for coins. She wants the right coins for the right price of the items in her tore. 

She needs customers to come in her store and buy items that she would like to get

rid of.  Your job is to be a customer who needs those items in Ms. Jones’ store.  The customers will come in six groups.  Each group will give a certain amount of coins to the clerk in exchange for items in her store. 

 

Product/Performance – You will draw the items in the store you bought.  You will also write down the price of each item.  You will keep the information in your Money Journals and share them with the class after you have finished
