Goal: Collect and display evidence recorded from water investigations and create a “Precipitation Pamphlet”, complete with illustrations to describe their understanding.
Role: Scientist, author, illustrator.
Audience: First grade class, library.
Situation: Pass out the materials and explain that the students will be making a “Precipitation Pamphlet” that will describe the common types of precipitation that we experience. Give background and explain to the students that they will now be able to be an author and illustrator through designing their own precipitation pamphlet.
Product/Performance: Precipitation Pamphlet- You will draw each type of precipitation. You will then label each type of precipitation. You will then write one sentence describing each type of precipitation.
