Performance Task: Graphic Organizer
Goal: Create two
graphic organizers. The first graphic organizer will sort living and non-
living things. The second graphic organizer will give similarities and
differences between two plants.
Role: You are an
employee at Pikes nursery. The store manager would like for you to place all
the living items on one shelf and all the non-living items on another shelf.
Audience: Your audience
is the store manager of Pikes nursery. He wants to make see if you can sort the
plant by living vs. non-living objects, and sort plants by their similarities
and differences.
Situation: There
has been an accident at the Pikes Plant nursery and everything at the store has
been mixed together. Our job is to place
all the living items together and all the non-living objects together on
different shelves. Once the manager sees all the living objects that have been
placed on the shelves he wants the plants to be sorted by their similarities and
differences.
Product: The
student will create two graphic organizers of the various plants. The first
graphic organizer will sort living and non-living objects. The second graphic
organizer will sort two plants by their similarities and differences.
Standard- The
graphic organizers must have at least three examples for each heading or side.
