an author and an illustrator. You will create a book that teaches fourth
graders about complex fluids.
Role: You are an author and
an illustrator.
Audience: Your audience is a
fourth grade class. You will be teaching fourth graders about complex fluids.
Situation: A fourth grade teacher

for science next year by teaching them about complex fluids. You will create
the book and then present it to a fourth grade class.
Product: Your book should
explain what complex fluids are and why they can’t be classified as just solids
or liquids. It should include information on the properties of solids, liquids,
and complex fluids, such as elasticity, viscosity, and visco-elasticity
and should include examples of materials that have these properties. It should
also list and define the different types of complex fluids, give examples of
each one, and give examples of how some complex fluids are formed. Your book
should have a creative cover page and should include illustrations throughout.
Make sure to use correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization
throughout the book.
